How to Fix
- 1
Check door gasket for damage. If gasket is damaged, replace the door gasket.
- 2
Measure heater resistance at CON9 pins 5~13 (Test Mode 1). Expected 42~500 ohm for a good heater.
- 3
If heater resistance is out of range (42~500 ohm), the Fuse-M is open. Replace Fuse-M.
- 4
Check defrost sensor resistance at CON9 pins (linked pins). Expected ~22k ohm or match temperature table. If open or 0 ohm, replace the defrost sensor.
- 5
Enter Test Mode 3 (press test button 3 times on Main PCB). Measure voltage at CON9 pins 5~13. Expected 112~116V.
- 6
If voltage is not 112~116V in Test Mode 3, check input voltage first. If input voltage is OK, replace the Main PCB.
- 7
Enter Test Mode 1. Measure voltage at CON9 pins 5~13. Expected 0V (heater off).
- 8
If voltage is not 0V in Test Mode 1, replace the Main PCB.
- 9
If all checks pass, replace the refrigerator.
